World Teachers Day: See 3 Ghanaian Teachers Who Have Entertained Us Over The Years…VIDEOS


Today marks World Teachers’ Day also known as International Teachers Day.

The celebration which is held annually on the 5th of October was enacted in 1994, commemorating the signing of the 1966 UNESCO/ILO recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers. These are standard-setting instruments that addresses the status and situations of teachers around the world

Well, it will be very prudent to also mention and celebrate some Ghanaian teachers who have entertained Ghanaians from years back till today.

These teachers have made social media so much fun to be on and we will like to thank them for all the times they made us forget our worries. 

Teacher Kwadwo

Teacher Kwadwo burst into the entertainment scene after short videos of him having interview sessions with other entertainers went viral.

In his own special way, he would ask a question which will be answered with a short clip from an already existing video of an entertainer speaking. 

Currently, Teacher Kwadwo hosts the entertainment news segment on UTV’s United Showbiz hosted by Nana Ama McBrown.

Percy Jackson (Ghana’s Dancing Teacher)

Known in real life as Percy Sackey, Ghana’s dancing teacher hit the lime light after a video of him and 2 of his students; a male and female dancing to some trending Ghanaian Afrobeat songs at the time went viral.

According to Percy Jackson who is a dancer and musician, during his days in school as a pupil, his teachers were too serious. Hence, he found a way of making his students enjoy his teaching period in school By resorting to music and dance.

The Creative Arts teacher who caught the attention of the international media from the word go, has gone ahead to release more videos with more students. 

Ohemaa Mercy

The trained teacher turned gospel singer burst into the music scene in 2007 with her hit song “Menwu”.

Subsequent years will see her enjoy more success as she went ahead to win a lot of awards.
