Following the announcement by NIA officials that no one should pay for the Ghana National Identification Card registration since it is free, why don’t you take a minute or two to apply here for free.

Sim Card Registration
The SIM card registration began on the 1st of October, 2021 and will run for 6 months, which will end in March 2022.
If after this 6 months period you fail to register and link your SIM card to your Ghana card, you cannot use that Sim card any more.
Quiet recently, it became public notice that the registration for the Ghana Card is Gh¢250. But don’t fret because it is free.

How to Apply for Free Ghana Card Online
- Candidate should make sure all information are correct.
- Therefore, provide all documents you have.
- Before you register, make sure you have any of the following;
- Birth certificate
- Passport
- National ID
- Voter ID
- SSNIT card
Guarantors
Candidates with Passport and Birth Certificate will need no guarantor, but those without any will have to use two guarantors.
Guarantor’s Card
From the Card, you will enter the card number which has GHA-xxxxxxxxxx-x. Follow the instructions and fill all that you need to.
Take note; you need to do it on a computer or switch your phone to desktop mode, so that you can print your forms. Then send the forms to any of the NIA offices to confirm your identity. Go along with hard copies of the documents you provided when filling the forms.
