Ghana Card Replacement At 275 District Offices and Update At A Reprint Fee of GHc30

After the overly long wait for the replacement services of the Ghana card, Ghanaians who have lost their Ghana Cards can have them replaced at the 275 operational District offices of the National Identification Authority.

In a press release dated 5th August, 2022, the authority has announced the recommencement of the card replacement services at the district offices and update of personal information.

Updates of personal information which will require a reprint of the Ghana card will attract a fee of GHc30 whilst updates of personal information which will not require a reprint of the Ghana card comes at no cost.

In the statement, update of personal information service at the 16 regional offices and card replacement services at the 275 operational district offices will commence on Monday 8th August, 2022. Also, update of personal information services will be decentralized to the 275 operational district offices on the 12th of September, 2022.

Update on the Ghana card which will require a reprint and attract a fee of GHc30 include;

  • change or correction of applicant’s name
  • change or correction of the order of applicant’s name
  • correction or addition of applicant’s previous name or maiden name
  • correction of applicant’s date of birth
  • change or correction of the nationality of applicant
  • correction of applicant’s gender
  • change or correction of applicant’s height

Payments will have to be made through CalBank Mobile Banking platform with the short code *771# or through CalBank Online Mobile Apps or a CalBank Branch office.
