The anchor of the morning program on Angel FM, Kofi Adomah Nwanwanii was attacked by three unknown guys on Saturday 6th August, 2022.
According to the presenter, he was on his way back to Old Ashongman from DAMAX Estate, which is located in Kuntunse, a suburb of Accra when all of a sudden, some suspected assassins who were riding on a motor bike crossed his path.
The unidentified assailants first cut the journalist with a sharp weapon, and then attempted to set him ablaze.
“While Kofi Adomah was returning from a visit to his home on the DAMAX estate in Kuntunse, he was assaulted in the area of ancient Ashongman. The people on motorcycles betrayed him in a sneaky way. They attempted to stab him in the face with sharp instruments, but he defended himself by using his hands and shoulders to block the blows to his face“.
According to an eye witness who spoke to GhanaWeb, “They poured an ignitable material thought to be gasoline and attempted to set him on fire.”
Kofi Adomah Nwanwanii is currently receiving treatment at an unknown health facility in Accra.
