I Buried A Pregnant Woman Alive For Ex-Ashaiman MP – ‘Ritualist’ Taxi Driver Confesses In Court


The taxi driver who recently confessed on national TV to committing several murders for ritual purposes has dragged the former Member of Parliament for Ashaiman constituency, Alfred Kwame Agbesi into his dealings.

The taxi driver was in court on Monday 13th September 2021 and confessed to burying a pregnant woman alive for ritual purposes to aide the former MP to win one of the elections.

Making his first appearance in court, his lawyer Theophilus Donkor pleaded with the court to grant him bail. However, Chief Inspector Godfred Bampoe, the prosecutor who stood in for ASP Sylvester Asare argued that since the matter was still being investigated, keeping him in remand will help the investigation.

FACTS OF THE MATTER

In September of 2021, the attention of the police was drawn to a statement made on Onua TV’s “Maakye” show with host Captain Smart on 2nd September, 2021 by the accused to the effect that he buried a pregnant woman alive at Ashaiman to perform a sacrifice for Alfred Kwame Agbesi (Former MP for Ashaiman).

The accused was responding to a question from the host that he had killed several persons in the past.

Upon receipt of the information, the police launched an investigation into the matter leading to his arrest.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused is a taxi driver who resides in Weija, Accra.

The police is yet to extend investigations to locate the scene of the alleged buried and other persons mentioned by the accused person.
