WPL: Ampem Darkoa Will Take Advantage of Hasaacas Players’ Exodus As Their Weakness To Beat Them – Nana Joe Adarkwa

Head coach of Techiman-based club Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Joe Nana Adarkwa, has expressed optimism that they have what it takes to beat defending champions Hasaacas Ladies in the final of champions to book their slot in qualifiers of CAF women’s Champions League.

The long awaited epic match has gotten a lot of international and local media attention due to the quality display of Hasaacas as shown on the international front last season.

Hasaacas Ladies took five out of six trophies in the 2020-2021 season, They took three trophies from Joe Adarkwa’s side. Hasaacas beats Ampem Darkoa in the League cup final, FA Cup final, and First Lady cup final to climax the season with three trophies.

In an interview with Max FM, Nana Joe Adarkwa has reiterated that Ampem Darkoa has gotten the perfect opportunity to redeem its image.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies need to redeem their lost image against Hasaacas Ladies. What happened last season was shameful to the team. I have spoken to my girls and at all costs, we need to win“.

Last season we went unbeaten and this season we lost 3 and drew 3 out of 18 matches. We make our corrections from our previous defeat in our zone and I promise against Hasaacas we won’t concede defeat“.

Nana Adarkwa continued by saying; “I might say, every season and its predicament. Yes, last season we lost all the trophies to Hasaacas, but we have also beaten them in the past. Hasaacas Lady’s performance in the maiden edition of the CAF women’s champion league clearly shows that it wasn’t a fluke, beating Ampem Darkoa“.

They were a lot of players’ exodus in Hasaacas’ team, so we will take advantage of these to thrash them. We haven’t played the CAF Champions League before, so that is our motivation to beat them for us to taste interclub competition“, he further stated.
