Women’s Premier League champions, Hasaacas Ladies will be in a fierce battle with Techiman-based female club Ampem Darkoa in the champions of champions clash on Saturday 28th May 2022 at Accra Sports Stadium at 3:00 pm.
The record holders in the Women’s Premier Leagues, Hasaacas emerged as the champion of the Women’s Premier League in the Southern sector. They were undefeated in the Southern Zone with 18 matches played and won 14 times, drew 4 times and lost none. The “Doooo” lads scored 36 goals and conceded 10 goals, maxing 46 points.
Meanwhile, their bitterest rival Ampem Darkoa ladies also in the Northern Zone were declared as champions. “Nananom” ladies also played 18 matches won 12, drew 3 and lost 3 toppings in the zone with 39 points. Scoring 45 goals and conceded 10 goals.
The Saturday clash is a repetition of the 2021/2022 season where Hasaacas show their supremacy over the 2 times champions. Yussif Basigi’s side thrashed Joe Nanap1 Adakwaa’s side by 4-0 to lift their 4th successive Women’s, Premier League.
Coach Yussif Basigi has stated in an interview with Sports reporter Greenstreet Prempreh that he is defending all his trophies.
He said; “…we are going unbeaten. I don’t see how a team will stop our ambitions for the season. My girls are in to defend their trophies and that is our mindset. We will beat every team for the ultimate”.
Meanwhile, coach of Ampem Darkoaa ladies, Joe Nana Adakwaa reiterated that Hasaacas’ long unbeaten record must be end. Nana Adakwaa is eyeing his first Women’a Interclub competition. And his ambitions will only be successful if he manages to beat his rival on Saturday afternoon.
Both teams have played in the Women’s Premier League final clash 4 times. Hasaacas has won 3 times against Ampem Darkoa while Ampem has won just one.
