Bibiani Gold Stars Head coach, Michael Osei felt his side deserved all the 3 maximum points when they locked horns with Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko in the first match of Week 3 of the Ghana Premier League on Friday afternoon at Dun’s park, after they lost by a lone goal to nil.

After settling for a 0-0 draw in the first department of the game, 18-year-old Isaac Oppong rescued the visitors with a fantastic long drive outside the box in the 9th minute of the 2nd half.

Michael Osei in a post-match interview opined that Bibiani Stars deserved to win the game; “this is a very unfortunate game. It is a game which we didn’t deserve to lose the three-points. It was a balanced game. We created more chances than Kotoko; but the only chance they created, they were able to score”.

“It is part of the game, so we have to move on and make sure that we do better in our next game. We didn’t play badly, I saw the boys were determined as you said, we were able to create more chances”.

He further stated that; “the last chance Prince Owusu got should have been a goal. The glaring chances we squandered, we should have scored at least one of them. We have learnt our lessons; and we will make sure we do our goal-scoring exercise very well. However, in our next game, we will do well to bury our chances”.
