Ghana Black Stars will play an International friendly against the Elephants of Cote D’Ivoire today at 5:00pm local time; subject to observing all COVID-19 protocols.

Coach C.K Akonnor’s side has been lodging and training at Cape Coast, ahead of the match at the Cape Coast stadium today.

The last meeting between the two countries was at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations final in Equatorial Guinea where Ivory Coast won 9-8 on penalties after extra time.

The Elephants of Ivory Coast are already in the country; and are ready for action. 

Coaches of the two sides will use the game as dress rehearsal for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September, 2021.

Meanwhile, team spirit at camp is at its highest as players of the Black Stars were seen taking turns to dance in their hotel ahead of the game.
