Sadio Mane’s Senegal have won their first ever Africa Cup of Nations title after beating Mohamed Salah’s Egypt on penalties in a thrilling encounter in Yaounde, Cameroon. 

The game travelled the full 90 minutes without a goal with Sadio Mané missing a penalty during the game. 

And the extra time which travelled 30 minutes without a goal also saw both teams squandering chances. 

Then the spoils had to be shared via the penalty shootout. 

After missing 2 penalties, the Liverpool forward who is also Senegal’s talisman, Sadio Mané scored the fifth and final penalty to give Senegal victory. 

This is the first time Senegal is lifting the African cup of nations.
