Sonnie Badu Reacts Immediately After Being Accused of Pocketing $50,000 From a National Cathedral Event In the US

Ghanaian gospel musician Sonnie Badu has reacted after he was accused of pocketing a whopping $50,000 as payment for his performance at the launch of the Ghana National Cathedral in America.

The “Baba” hitmaker came out to react to the allegation when the issue started gaining traction on social media.

And according to him, he did not receive any money as mentioned above. He even disclosed that himself and his team were not even given a place to sit when they attended the launch.

According to the rumor mongers, the Gospel musician was paid $50,000 for a brief performance at a fundraising ceremony held in America towards the building of Ghana’s National Cathedral in Ghana.

But Sonnie Badu has emerged to say the report is totally untrue.

I’m sure the handlers of @SonnieBaduuk will alert him to clear the air whether he allegedly took $50,000 for singing 5mins 15 seconds at the launch of Ghana National Cathedral in USA,” the Twitter user, @Cecil_Kwabena, tweeted.

Moments after he sighted the post, he replied by saying; “Wow, thanks for alerting me, I was not given a dime .. not even a seat for me and my team, We stood outside”.
