Investigations have began into the death of a female police officer who allegedly committed suicide in a hotel room after leaving a hand written note behind. The incident happened in Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region.
According to management of the hotel, the female police officer lodged into the hotel at midday on Saturday 7th August. Later in the evening around 7:00pm, the manager of the hotel went to her room to check up on the deceased, only to find her dead lying in a prone position on the floor. She was later identified as Lieutenant Corporal Sarah Adjei of the Nkawkaw Divisional Headquarters of the Ghana Police Service.
At the time of her death, she was in a multi-coloured straight dress over black underwear and black slippers.

A note was found in her bag in which she was complaining about money she requested from one Timothy Dampara.
“Dear Mr. Timothy Dampare, I told you that I owed people money and you decided to help me, and you have been with me in my house for one week now and you have refused to help me, so if anything happens you have caused it Mr. Timothy Dampare. Thank you 0249134983”, the note reads.
This Timothy Dampare is not the acting Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo-Dampare.
