Days back, Ghanaian actress and socialite Salma Mumin took to Instagram to make public an alleged theft involving an amount of GHc10,000.
According to her, the said amount was withdrawn from her business MoMo Account without her knowledge. She went ahead to speak about how unsafe it is to transact business with MTN nowadays by writing “MTN is not safe anymore”.
The attention seeking Salma Mumin made attempts to accuse workers of the giant Telecommunications company of the theft and asked them to look into the matter. She stated MTN returns the money to her.
It did not take long before she put out another post stating that MTN had contacted her and that the issue had been resolved.
There are then, she deleted both the last post and the first one.
Her follow-up post stating that the matter had been resolved raised a lot of questions from social media users; with many asking if the money was refunded or not, since she did not state it clearly.
Well, it has turned out that Salma Mumin lied about the whole episode; and that no such amount was withdrawn from her business MoMo account.
In lieu of this, MTN has demanded an apology from the actress for lying. They have threatened to sue her if she doesn’t apologize.
Now, the question is that why did she pull up such a stunt in the first place. Is it that she was owing someone and wanted to dodge the payment? Or it’s a case of only seeking for sympathy and attention from her gullible fans on social media.
It’s quiet sad that Ghanaian celebrities will always lie to cover up their filthy lifestyles.
She has a deadline to apologize; well, let’s see how it goes for her.
