#DampareMustGo: Ghanaians Set Fire On Twitter Calling For The Removal of IGP Dampare

Twitter went ablaze on Thursday 19th May, 2022 after the hashtag #DampareMustGo went viral calling for the Inspector General of Police (IGP) George Akuffo Dampare to be removed from office by the President.

And according to the campaigners, the IGP performed only a nine-day wonder prior to his confirmation.

Many tweeps are now tagging him as incompetent and are asking that he be removed as soon as possible to make way for a competent hand to handle the Ghana Police Service.

The campaigners cited several instances that have happened under his watch and have concluded that with him at the apex of affairs, the Police will do no good.

The call for his removal comes after Youth of Nkoranza clashed with the Police over the killing of a young man who the Police mistook for an armed robber.
