AFCON’21: Ghana Still Has A Chance Of Qualifying To The 1/16th Stage Only If…

Ghana finished bottom of Group C in the 2021 Africa cup of nations tournament being hosted by Cameroon.

Ghana had a chance for automatic qualification to the 1/16th stage if we had beat tournament debutants, Comoros Island. However it was not to be as the Black stars delivered an abysmal performance throughout the tournament by managing one draw and two defeats.

Meanwhile, one thing Ghanaians are good at when we go for tournaments like these is calculations. We are good at using our calculators together with other group results to try and make qualification from the group stage.

Well, one Kofi Tamakloe has made things very easy for Ghanaian after he penned down his formulae for calculating Ghana’s qualification to the 1/16th stage.

He dropped this formulae about 24 hours before the match in which we infamously lost to the Comoros Island.

Check out his formula below…

Even if Ghana lose to Comoros, we can still progress. See how it works.

1. Ghana 0:3 Comoros

2. Morocco 1:1 Gabon

This will give the standing:

Morocco 7 points

Gabon 5 points

Comoros 3 points

Ghana 1 point

Despite being in 4th place, Ghana can still go through to the knock out stages if Morocco and Gabon players get angry and beat up the referee. CAF and FIFA will immediately expel them from the tournament. That  means Comoros will now top the group and Ghana will be second.
