If you thought Chairman Wontumi was joking with his bid to become the proud owner of English Premier league side, Chelsea Football Club, then you’re in for a surprise.
Lawyers of the Ashanti Regional chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Chairman Wontumi, are already in the United Kingdom to place the bid on his behalf. He is placing a bid of 3.1 billion pounds sterling to own the club.
Some netizens have reacted to his bid with some describing him as “m@d’.
Twene Jonas blasted him for leaving the poor state of the roads within his community to spend a whopping £3.1b on a foreign club.
One other critique was of the view that if Wontumi is that rich, he should use that money to set up factories which will employ the several unemployed graduates in the country.
