Police Officer Who Sped At Police Barrier After Refusing to Stop Crashes Car...Parcels of 'Hard Substances' Found in His Boot

A police officer with the Tesano-Accra Formed Police Unit is currently at admission under security at the Peki Government Hospital, after being rushed there from the scene of a collision on the Kpeve highlands in the Volta Region.

The police officer, identified as G/Sergeant Lotsu Agbeko, 36, was driving to the Volta Region from Accra in his Toyota Corolla car, but failed to stop when he reached the Have Police barrier.

His refusal to halt led to a hard pursuit by the barrier staff.

Meanwhile, luck was not on his side as he got involved in an accident during the procedure, resulting in a fracture to his left hand.

He was subsequently taken to a nearby medical institution.

A post-accident video showed 84 packets of chemicals presumed to be Indian hemp in the boot of the vehicle.

He is thought to be responding positively to treatment.

According to a situational report issued by Kpeve police on Tuesday, June 14, the suspect has been under surveillance since the incident on Saturday, June 11 about 12:30 pm.
