A Ghanaian fan who went viral on social media as Ghana went head to head with their Nigerian counterparts during the two-legged Qatar 2022 World Cup playoffs has gotten an all-expense paid trip to the tournament.
The fan went viral whilst eating Ghana jollof in a takeaway pack, and crying during the first leg which ended in a draw at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
In another video, he was again seen jubilating after the Black Stars edged their Nigerian counterparts in the second leg, to qualify for the World Cup.
Having gone viral during the double tie, the video was spotted by former Ghana U20 star Karim Sadat, who disclosed how a friend of his wants to sponsor the fan to Qatar for the World Cup.
The Halmstads forward, therefore, used his Twitter page to appeal to the general public to help him find the said fan.
“Please help me find this gentleman. A friend wants to sponsor him to Qatar for the World Cup,” the footballer tweeted.
