History 

In 1976, the University Practice Senior High School was established the University of Cape Coast as a practice center for students of the Faculty of Education of the University.

Vision

The vision of the institution is to become a centre of excellence in moral, academic, and vocational education a school of choice in the Cape Coast Metropolis and the nation as a whole.

Mission

Their mission is also to provide a holistic quality secondary education aimed at excellence and competence through discipline and handwork, producing competent individuals who are physically fit, morally upright, and academically sound to provide responsible service to themselves, family and society at large.

University Practice Senior High School Admission/Prospectus

New entrants are admitted to the University Practice Senior High School in September every year through the computerized system under the control of the Ghana Education Service.

The system admits students to the University Practice Senior High School based on the results of an entry examination known as the Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E). This examination is held for Junior High Schools students across the country.

Once the computerized selection process is completed, the list of admitted students are made available by the Ghana Education Service to the school. The list is then made public through the school’s notice board.

An opportunity is also given to foreign nationals who wish to apply for admission into the school through a written entrance examination organized by the school.

Students from other senior high school or fresh senior high school starter who wishes to continue the education at the school can also contact the school’s administration through the contact list provided in the contact section of this page.

After gaining admission, a student is given the school’s official prospectus. This book contains information about all that is required of them.
