He has also been accused of fat-shaming and sexism by some viewers and critics. Some examples are:
- In 2004, he revealed that he had suffered from depression and had attempted suicide in 1999. He also admitted that he took medication and underwent therapy for his condition. He received mixed reactions from the public, some praising him for his honesty and courage, and others questioning his credibility and mental stability.
- In 2019, he criticized Antonio Brown, a former Steelers wide receiver, for his behaviour and attitude, calling him a “diva” and a “problem”. He also said that he would not have thrown him the ball if he was his teammate. Brown called Bradshaw a “clown” and a “hater”.
- In 2020, he expressed his disappointment with Andy Reid, the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, for not disciplining his son Britt Reid, who was involved in a car crash that left a five-year-old girl in a coma. He said that Reid should have fired his son, an assistant coach for the Chiefs and that he was “very upset” with him.
- In 2021, he criticized Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, for his dissatisfaction with the team and desire to leave. He said that Rodgers was “weak” and “dumber than a box of rocks” for being unhappy with his situation. He also said that Rodgers should retire if he does not want to play for the Packers.
- In 2021, he was accused of fat-shaming his fellow Fox NFL Sunday co-host, Howie Long, when he joked that Long had gained weight during the pandemic. Some viewers and critics found his remarks offensive and insensitive, especially during a time when many people were struggling with their mental and physical health.
- In 2021, during a live broadcast, he was accused of sexism when he commented on the appearance of Erin Andrews, a sideline reporter for Fox Sports. He said that Andrews looked “nice” and “very nice” while wearing a mask, implying that she looked better with her face covered. Some viewers and critics found his remarks inappropriate and disrespectful, especially since Andrews was a professional journalist and not a beauty contestant.
