Sean “Diddy” Combs is still struggling to get himself out of hot waters ever since a lawsuit was filed against him last November.
According to PEOPLE magazine, Diddy’s lawyers and legal representatives have requested a New York court to dismiss particular claims made against the rapper.
The claims addressed were made against Sean “Diddy” Combs in a lawsuit filed in November in which a woman named, Joi Dickerson-Neal accused him of drugging and r***** her when she was a student at Syracuse University back in 1991.
Some of the allegations made “were brought under statutes that did not exist at the time the alleged misconduct occurred,” according to legal documents filed by Diddy’s attorneys on Friday, April 26, obtained by the outlet read.
Specifically, the lawyers have argued that revenge p*** and human trafficking are among the claims that should be dismissed with prejudice, as the laws regarding the offenses that were named in the filing did not exist in 1991.
Sean “Diddy” Combs has previously denied these claims and has countered that Dickerson-Neal might just have fabricated the scenario.
