Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has apologized to the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over his pre-election tweet after the release of his “Happy Day” song to endorse the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

After the release of Sarkodie’s “Happy Day” song, he tweeted at President Akufo-Addo which reads; “Nana M3nfa bronya ho nre akoko oo lool !! when I say aban ( all parties ) Shouts to yourself x JM but if I feel like pointing out the negatives too you know how we do”.

Meanwhile, speaking with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM today, Sarkodie used the opportunity to apologize to the President over his tweet.

He stated that; “I want to use this opportunity to apologize to President @nakufoaddo for the tweet below. I didn’t mean it in a harmful way. I just wanted to make a lighter situation out of the issue.”
