Samuel Aboabire Has Done A Lone Man’s Job And Must Be Applauded – Paul Freeman


Head coach for Women’s division one league team, Valued Girl’s Football Academy, Paul Freeman has eulogized the Greater Accra Regional Football Association (RFA) chairman Samuel Aboabire for organizing a peaceful league and also donating essential equipment for grassroots football to enhance in the country.

Speaking during an exclusive interview with depunch.com’s Sports journalist, Paul Freeman hailed Samuel Aboabire for supporting grass-root football and giving the league media attention.

“This year, the publicity was good. I played so many years in Greater Accra before moving to the Eastern region. For the past 6 years, this is the most competitive league we have played so far. Moreover, I will give credit to the Greater Accra Regional Football Association chairman, Mr. Aboabire”.

Paul Freeman further stated that; “Mr. Aboabire did very well for his division, indeed he has shown that he has love for grassroots football. He understands the difficulties the clubs go through. For the 9 years I have played in Greater Accra and other regions, I haven’t witnessed some of the good things he has done in Accra in comparison to other regions”.

Deputy Head coach for Berry ladies reiterated that people have to support him in Accra; he can do more and God bless him. 

“What I saw yesterday and the publicity that they give to the Greater Accra league during the competition was massive; hence, we have to applaud him”. 

Samuel Aboabire donated balls, first aid kits, medicine and a set of training equipment, etc. to each club in the Greater Accra region before the commencement of the Division One League and juvenile league in Greater Accra.
