The 28-year-old woman from Takoradi, Josephine Panyin Mensah, who faked her pregnancy and kidnap will still be prosecuted even after giving a “tangible” reason for her action.
Despite the fact that she has begged the state to temper justice with mercy, her pleas have fallen on deaf ears.
Explaining everything, she said she had to fake her pregnancy after losing her earlier pregnancy after 4 months.
It was difficult disclosing to her husband that the pregnancy was gone. So she had to fake it with the help of her mother.
Josephine revealed that she still wanted to receive love and affection from her husband after over three years of marriage without a child for her husband.
Notwithstanding her confession and plea, DSP Kwesi Ofori says the police will still go on to prosecute her.
