The Federal Government has filed 23-count charges against Peter Nwachukwu, husband of late popular gospel artist, Osinachi Nwachukwu, who died on April 8 after alleged assaulted by her husband.
He was charged under sections 104 and 379 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015, by the Attorney-General of the Federation.
Peter Nwachukwu was charged with culpable homicide, contrary to section 221 of the Penal Code which is punishable with death by h@n.g$ng.
His sentence comes after a series of testimonies from their children, Osinachi’s sisters and parents all proved that he was an abusive man.
Osinachi of “Ekueme” fame died last month. After her death, several reports went viral on social media that her husband caused her death. He was accused of beating and stomping her abdomen on several occasions.
The accusations were so serious that even his children confirmed that Peter Nwachukwu used to beat their mom when she was alive.
