Olivia Rodrigo recalled thinking of her life after hearing the song Cannonball by the rock band, The Breeders.
Moving to 2024, PEOPLE magazine reported that the 90’s alt-rock group will be joining the now 21-year-old artist for a string of exciting performances.
The Breeders are set to take the stage alongside Rodrigo on her first-ever arena tour of her sophomore album, GUTS.
Kim Deal, who is fronting the band, will be joining the Traitor hit-maker for four sold-out shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden to be held on April 4, 5, 8 and 9.
Even though it would be exciting for Rodrigo to be performing with one of her favourite bands, however for Deal, she’s in utmost disbelief.
“We’re just from Dayton, Ohio!” the 62-year-old rockstar joked with the outlet, referring to herself and her bandmates.
“We’re really excited. It’s a big deal,” and continued to reveal her reaction to when Rodrigo’s team approached her for the gig, “I was just like, ‘What?’ It was odd!” she recalled.
Olivia Rodrigo’s live show has proven to be intimidating for the indie music legend who was selected to open for Nirvana in 1992 as the pair rehearse for the upcoming shows.
