Family of deceased former President of the Republic of Ghana, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings, has announced that the first anniversary of his death will be held on November 12th.
According to a press release issued on Tuesday by the late President’s Executive Secretary, Kobina Andoh Amoakwa, a Remembrance Mass will be held at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Adabraka to commemorate the anniversary.
“Due to Covid-19 requirements, the Holy Spirit Cathedral will host a limited number of congregants; seating will thus be on a first-come, first-served basis,” the release dated November 2, noted.

On November 12, 2020, the former President died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a brief illness.
He was laid in state at the Accra International Conference Centre on January 25 and 26, 2021.
He was given a state burial at Black Star Square before being transported to the Military Cemetery in Burma Camp, where he was buried.
Friends, sympathizers, and members of the general public have been invited to attend the Remembrance Mass, which will begin promptly at 9 am.
