Marleen Anmortsoo Hutchful, born Marleen Anmortsoo Mensah was a Ghanaian actress who played a major acting role in the popular Ghanaian early 2000s TV series “Things We Do For Love“. Marleen

Marleen had a natural talent for creativity and design, and could be described as someone who was very outgoing. She was poet and a story teller who was so dedicated to anything she was doing at a particular moment.

Marleen Hutchful died of acute myeloid leukemia on the 11th of January, 2022 at the age of 35.

Marleen Hutchful attended Ghana International School and had her tertiary education at Ashesi University where she studied Business Administration.

Personal Life

Marleen met her husband, Claud Kweku Ampoful Hutchful back in 2010. The two of them fell in love and married a year after on the 17th of December, 2011. They have two kids; Elaine and Claire.

Things We Do For Love

Marlene Hutchful entered the Ghanaian movie scenes in the TV series “Things We Do For Love” in 2000 as the character “Lois“. Her role in the movie was that of a Ghanaian teenager. She won the hearts of viewers for her distinct American accent in the movie.

Career

Marlene Hutchful worked as a Marketing Manager at Amazing-U. She then became Program Coordinator at DreamOval Foundation, and then moved on to become a teacher at Beacon College International. It was at this point that she made the decision to dedicate herself completely to raising her family.

Christian background

Marlene Hutchful gave her life to Christ on the 16th of October, 2005. And from that day onward, there has been no turning back for her. She used her Christian background in building her marriage, children and relationships on the foundation of God’s word.

Marleen was actively involved in the Yapha prayer ministry and was a member at Agape House New Testament Church.

Death

Death laid its icy hands on the life of Marlene Anmatsoo Hutchful on the 11th of January 2022 when she was called to meet her maker. She died as a result of acute myeloid leukemia and was laid to rest on the 27th of January 2022 at the Lashibi Funeral Home in Accra.
