Former Blackstars midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has become the first player to marry in the metaverse.
For those new to metaverse, it’s a virtual reality, where people get to meet in an online form; and that’s how Kevin Prince Boateng had his wedding. Friends and family took part in a ceremony in an online form.
Kevin-Prince Boateng‘s career has been hampered by injuries and he got married to his girlfriend Valentina Fradegrada on Saturday in Siena, Italy.
The wedding ceremony was organized by the leading Italian wedding organizer, Enzo Miccio.
The two have been dating since the Ghana international divorced his former wife Melissa Satta. Friends and family took part in the event through the metaverse.
“I wanted to do something special for Valentina, something that nobody had ever done. Thanks to OVER, we can celebrate our love like no one has done before, in a space location,” said Boateng, who now plays for Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga.
