In a new turn of events, the Board of Governors of Achimota school in an official press release has stated categorically that they don’t agree with the courts ruling, ordering them to admit a Rastafarian student, Tyrone Marhguy.
The court ruled yesterday that the school has no right to infringe on the right of the student because of his religion; hence, he should be admitted.
However, the Board has come out to state that they are going to appeal the court’s ruling since they (Achimota School) was only enforcing their time-tested and well-known rules of the school.
