Jelly Roll and Tori Kelly are all geared to mentor the fresh faces of American Idol in the upcoming episodes.

In the official video posted by ABC, titled “Mentors Tori Kelly and Jelly Roll at Disney’s Aulani Resort – American Idol” the two artists reflect on their role in the show alongside sincere advice for the contest’s top 24 participants.

The 31-year-old artist kicked off the video saying, “When I got the call from American Idol to be a mentor, I was so excited because I just remember being 16 years old auditioning for this very show. So it was a very full circle moment for me to realize, ‘Oh, you have something to give now,’”

“I feel like I bring a lot of experience in the form of failure to the table. I think that’s something they’re going to have to be familiar with because that’s what it takes to get good. You got to do it wrong a thousand times,” the Save Me crooner added.

Jelly Roll and Tori Kelly will take the American Idol stage to mentor, perform and join the judges on the panel, on April 8 and April 7 respectively.
