Jackie Chan dismissed speculations around his health as he addressed the viral images in which he appears “old”.

Directly addressing his fans via an Instagram post, the legendary actor assured fans that he’s in good health with a bevy of throwback pictures from the 80s.

Addressing the health concerns, he wrote, “Not so long ago, a lot of friends saw some recent photos of me on the internet, and they were all concerned about my health.”

“I want to take this opportunity to let everyone know, don’t worry! It’s just a character appearance for my latest movie”, the Rush Hour actor assured, without spilling any more details about his role or the awaited movie.

The film director also mentioned what it felt like nearing his 70th birthday.

He wrote, “Every time I hear this number, my heart would stop for a second – l’m 70 years old already?”, before reminding himself of its privilege.

“After recovering from the shock, the second thing that would come to my mind is a saying that my big brother, Sammo Hung once said: ‘being able to grow old is a fortunate thing’”, he continued.

“Especially for us stunt people, we don’t know how lucky we are to be able to grow old.”

Concluding his Birthday post, the Hong Kong native expressed gratitude for the wishes and noted, “Hope everyone stays happy and healthy!”.
