Popular Ghanaian dancer and musician Gee-man has disclosed that he won a Michael Jackson look-alike dance competition in the United States way back in 1984.

He was a guest on Showbiz 360 where he was speaking about his yet-to-be launched book, “From Fame To Shame; the untold story of a pop-star”.

Speaking on how he came to the lime light, Geeman said that he discovered that he was a great dancer from Day 1. And that was it. He moved from winning dancing competitions in Ghana and across Europe to wining a Michael Jackson look-alike dance competition in the United States of America.

Geeman was sentenced to death by hanging on the 5th of May 1995 for shooting and killing a taxi driver after a little quarrel.

He went ahead to spend 14 years in prison until ex-President Agyekum Kuffour granted him a presidential pardon just before he left office in 2009.

Geeman is now an Evangelist and is into prisons ministry full time.
