Bank roller of King Faisal Alhaji Grusah, has stated categorically that Kumasi Asante Kotoko lacks the finances to buy his players.

According to him, he would rather make more money by selling his players to European clubs than to allow his his players join another Ghanaian team like Kotoko.

To participate in the CAF Champions League, he was questioned about selling his players to Kotoko in an interview with Abusua FM.

Buying players from Kotoko seems like a crazy idea. While I am able to resell them for a profit in other countries. One who would make such a choice is either crazy or uncaring“.

A few years ago, I sold Opoku Afriyie to Kotoko for Ghc5, and to this day Kotoko has not paid. Because I was born in Kumasi, Ghana, I cannot be considered a peasant,” he said.

Buttressing his point, he said Kotoko was working against his team in the relegation battle. Hence, he is not ready to do business with them.
