Ghanaian musician Kum politician, and former MUSIGA President Bice Osei Kuffuor aka Obour has stated that the late Nana Ampadu deserves a state burial.
Obour was of the view that aside being a pioneer of highlife music, he has also helped groom and discover several talents in the music industry.
Speaking during an interview with Happy FM, Obour stated that the likes of Akosua Agyapong, Oheneba Kisi, Nana Tuffuor and several others passed through the hands of the late Nana Ampadu.

Highlighting some of the key roles Nana Ampadu played in the industry, Obour said; “He has also played a vital role in the Ghanaian music industry like GHAMRO and MUSIGA. Some years ago, he was even the General Secretary for MUSIGA and he did a great job.”
According to Obour, the late Nana Ampadu was amongst one of the few people who have fought for the entertainment industry, more especially the music industry.
“If the country has lost someone as important as this, and it was not even on political grounds, he is well-deserving of a state burial,” he added.
Nana Ampadu died on the 28th of September after a short illness. He was 76 years old.
