Evangelical Methodist Church Condemns ‘Loose’ Tithe & Offering Comments Made By Senior Pastor During #FixTheCountry Demo

Evangelical Methodist Church Senior Minister Joins the #FixTheCountry Protestors

The Evangelical Methodist Church is reviewing its association with one of their Senior ministers, Apostle Dr. Daniel Adjei (Head Pastor of the Asylum Down branch) after he made some “loose” comments during the #FixTheCountry demonstration which he participated in.

It will be recalled that Apostle Dr. Daniel Adjei made the headlines after he was captured as part of the protestors of the #FixTheCountry demonstration where he claimed that the rising unemployment and economic mismanagement had rendered members of his church broke; hence, they could not give offerings and pay their tithes.

However, his comment was not well received by the church who have described this statement as “loose”.

In a statement released by the church, the Senior Pastor’s utterances “do not represent the position of the Evangelical Methodist Church. The Church has built a school, and given back to the society and among others. We want to set the record that the finance of the church does not rely on tithes and offerings”.
