The family of late Nigerian gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu have disclosed details of her final funeral rites. And according to the plans, she will be buried in Abia State on Saturday, June 25, 2022.

Her funeral will begin on the 21st of June 2022 with a Praise night at the Opera Square, Enugu at 7pm with several other activities leading us to her final funeral right on the 25th of June, 2022.

Osinachi Nwachukwu rose to fame after her single “Ekwueme” which has been streamed over 72 million times on YouTube died on April 8 in an Abuja hospital.

The Dunamis International Gospel Centre’s principal worship leader died at the age of 42-years-old.

Before rising to fame, she appeared in numerous popular gospel songs, including “Nara Ekele” by Pastor Paul Enenche (Dunamis, Abuja) and Emma’s “You no dey use me play

Immediately her tragic death went viral, her family, children, friends, and other acquaintances, turned to social media to disclose that the singer had endured domestic abuse at the hands of her husband, Peter Nwachukwu, leading to her death.

However according to her husband, Peter Nwachukwu‘s testimony in court, his wife died of lung cancer and that he never assaulted her.

“Let me tell the entire world that I have suffered greatly.” I’ve been left behind. Cancer of the lungs killed my wife; I did not beat her. My wife, Osinachi Nwachukwu, died of lung cancer, therefore I’m suffering for something I don’t understand…”

Peter Nwachukwu was later sentenced to death by hanging after a Nigerian court found him guilty of domestic violence meted out to his wife leading to her death.
