The leader and Bishop of the Lighthouse Chapel International, Dag Heward-Mills, has rendered an unqualified apology to the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu (II).
Bishop Dag apologized after a video went viral last week, in which he was heard insulting the revered Asantehene over what he narrated as neglect towards his own people.
He questioned the relevance of the Otumfuo to national development and described him as being myopic.
However, the man of God has explained that he made those comments some 20 years ago during a private meeting with his junior pastors.
And according to him, some people have an agenda against him and his church in the Asante region; and that’s why the audio has been released at such a time.
He went ahead to pat the King in the back regarding his current achievements; unlike how things were some 2 decades ago.
