Christian Bale embodied Frankenstein’s classic look for upcoming horror sci-fi movie helmed by Maggie Gyllenhaal.
In the 1818 novel, the titular character dons a black suit with heavy boots and now Gyllenhaal is apparently following the book’s description as Bale was seen in a rather similar attire.
In a now-viral pictures, The Dark Knight star was seen in a black trench coat which had rusted patches seeping through, paired with grey wool pants barely visible through the coat and black boots.
The Academy Award winner also sported a black scarf, sunglasses and a black cowboy hat almost covering his entire face.
The 50-year-old was photographed during the filming for The Bride of Frankenstein, along with director Gyllenhaal, who was in a casual attire.
The movie is based on Mary Shelley’s novel and is set in the 1930s Chicago when a lonely Frankenstein seeks the help of Dr. Euphronius to create a companion for himself and revives a murdered woman, known as The Bride (portrayed by Jessie Buckley in the movie).
However, she is beyond what either of them imagined and has a new lust for romance and ignites the attention of the police and wild radical movement.
The film based on Gyllenhaal’s script also features Penelope Cruz, Peter Sarsagaard, John Magaro, Julianne Hough and Annette Bening and is expected to hit the theatres on October 3, 2025.
