Barcelona Fans Vote For Top 10 Greatest Players In The Club’s History, Messi’s Position Surprises The World

A poll has been conducted for fans of Spanish giant Barcelona to vote for their top 10 of all time who have played for the club.

And surprisingly, Lionel Messi’s position on the list has shocked connoisseurs of the game as they believe he should have topped the chart based on his unparalleled achievements and incredible persona on and off the pitch during his time with the club.

And it’s even surprising that the likes of Neymar, Rivaldo and Ronald Koeman did not make it to the top 10.

Maradona made it to the top spot and that is equally surprising considering the fact that despite all his prowess and brilliance on the pitch, he spent only two years at the Nou Camp; and left for Napoli.

Lionel Messi forcefully left Barcelona after his contract expired at the club and they couldn’t afford to renew it according UEFA financial regulations governing football. He came in second on the list.

Football magician and 2005 Ballon d’Or award winner, Ronaldinho rounds up the top three.
